Present at Salone del Mobile in Milano, also know as the city’s design week, Marni puts on display a beautiful presentation of their new furnishing accessories collection.
Under the name Marni Ballhaus, the performance is a mix between the classical display of their furniture designs and a capsule collection comprised of skirts in different color & pattern combinations. Clothes and furniture alike are dedicated and inspired by Columbia. The chairs & lamps have all been made by Colombian women using traditional weaving techniques and the skirst are the focus of attention in live performances with dancers channeling the Cumbia, an ancient Colombian dance for couples.
Attendants can also try on the Marni Ballhaus skirts and take part in this beautiful dance by learning the moves, so if you’re in Milano, don’t miss out on it, you still have time ’til Sunday!
If you enjoyed the skirts, have a look also at the furniture designs >>>
All profits will go to the Vimala Association, so if you decide to purchase a chair or a lamp, you can also make a good dead.
